Meet the Staff

Welcome to the wonderful world of fiber animals.
We are the Bresin Family
David, Cheryl, Dustin, & Daisey

.

We hope you enjoy visiting our fiber animals
as much as we enjoy caring for them.

Doddie

Annalia

Our very first llama. Annalia is known for giving you kisses, right on the lips.
She fills our hearts.

Hava Nagila

Hava was a rescue llama who was being housed in a horse trailer. He was quite thin when we acquired him and nowhas a nice round belly. He enjoys grazing the fields and protecting his flock. Hava has turned out to be an incredible guard llama and takeshis new job quite seriously.

Llama Facts

According to Maximo Gamarra's census, there are 2.5 million llamas in Bolivia,
1 million in Peru, 85,000 in Chile, and 75,000 in Argentina.

Llamas eat like a sheep, think like a dog and act like a horse.

Normal body temperature is 99 to 102 degrees. Crias tend to run toward the higher end, while adults are more commonly around 100. Anything over 103 is cause for concern, especially if the weather is extremely hot the llama should be cooled off and watched for any signs of heat stress. Infections can also cause a raised temperature, and may indicate the need for a veterinary assistance & antibiotics.

A stunning apricot color with gray spotted legs makes her stand out as the little Princess that she is.

Mr. Biggins

A big name for a little guy. His luxurious fleece falls all the way to his toes.

Douglas, Wendall & Fiddy

We had never spun alpaca fiber prior to the York (PAOBA) Alpaca show. All I have to say is, incredible! Alpaca fiber has the handle of cashmere but offers more warmth. We are delighted to add these new members of the Camlid family to our flock

Alpaca Facts

Where do Alpaca's originate? Peru has maintained a virtual monopoly on alpaca production. 90% of all alpacas come from Peru, while only 10 % come from Bolivia.

Normal body temperature is 100-101 degrees and 102 may be normal for your alpaca.
Anything 103 degrees or higher is abnormal.

Dogs become loyal not because you feed them, but because of the companionship you give them.

Sir Arlis Ferdinand
Sir Arlis Ferdinand
Great Pyrenees Mountain Dogs originated from the mountains of Spain and France. They are known for their ability to protect flocks of sheep. These gentle giants can be wonderful loving family dogs, but have the ability to kill a bear.
Because of their dense undercoat, their fiber can be easily spun into yarn.

Celestial Heritage (CeeCee)

A welcome addition to our family. Cee Cee our female Great Pyrenees has the fabulous ability to blend with any of the animals in our pastures. She helps with farm chores. but graciously takes her place in her own room, at the house.

Dog facts
Normal body temperature is 101.2 F.
Gestation 9 weeks or 63 days

Average lifespan of any dog whether purebred or of undetermined descent is between 10 to 12 years of age. However individual breeds may have shorter or longer average lifespan depending upon their breed.

Puppies
When a puppy is removed from its mother, don't make it spend the first night alone. Its loss of family is enough for one night.
As soon as your new pet is comfortable with its new home, move it to the location where you will want it to sleep for its lifetime.
Puppies can't control their bladders overnight until they are at least four months old.
Housebreaking a puppy is just like toilet training a child; first you learn to recognize the signs, then you react every time you see them.

Cassie Rose

Border Collies originated in the border country between Scotland and England . They are incredibly intelligent and highly active dogs. Their greatest attribute is their ability to herd sheep and cattle on command. They are fabulous at agility and make great companions for those who like to be active. This breed must be on the go and requires training.

Oby Blue

Oby is a blue eyed, blue merle Border Collie. We look forward to seeing what
Oby will learn on the farm.
